Royal jelly is the milky substance worker bees produce to feed their queen - one of the rarest products of the hive, and far scarcer than honey itself. Ours is harvested in small quantities from our own colonies in Pakistan, the same hives our family has kept since 1974.

What royal jelly is

Naturally rich in proteins, B vitamins and amino acids, royal jelly has been traditionally valued for centuries as a concentrated nutritive food. It is not honey: the taste is tangy, slightly sharp and creamy rather than sweet. It is a supplement taken in small amounts, not a spread.

How to take it

A small amount (about a quarter teaspoon) in the morning, on its own or stirred into a spoon of honey to soften the taste. Keep refrigerated and always use a dry spoon.

A note on authenticity

Genuine fresh royal jelly is rare in Pakistan and frequently imitated. Ours comes directly from our own hives - harvested, packed and delivered by the farm, with no importers or middlemen in between.

How to use

Stir into warm (not boiling) tea or water, drizzle over toast, paratha, yoghurt or fruit, or use in marinades and dressings in place of refined sugar. For the fullest flavour and aroma, enjoy it straight from the spoon.

Storage & crystallisation

Store in a cool, dry place with the lid closed, and always use a dry spoon. Do not refrigerate.

Raw honey crystallises naturally over time - it is a sign of purity, not a fault. To re-liquefy, stand the jar in warm (not boiling) water for a few minutes. Never microwave it.
